Layover here at the house...

Well it is Wednesday night and I DO NOT have to be at some ballpark, which is NICE!! I love watching the kids play ball...wait I lied. Let me tell you the pro's and con's of my kids playing ball...follow me here:

Sabrina Grace T-Ball: Pro's- She makes sure that the rest of the ball team matches, uses the right color of ball helmet and gets refreshments through out the game.
Con's- Ready she could care less and gets somewhat bored because they make these little 5-6 year olds play 6 innings, her team is very young and it is PAINFUL to watch to say the LEAST!

Claire Anne Kid Pitch: Pro's- She never wanted to play before but now LOVES IT! Con's-she is a tiny little shrimp and sometimes gets super frustrated because she is "playing up"

Michael Kid Pitch Little League: Pro's-he needs the exercise, my little chunky monkey! Con's-his games are almost all at 8pm so I usually bring the girls home early and dont get to see the end.

Oh and the kicker.....we even have some night were we are all in different towns.............

I know that years from now as my children reflect at all the years of ball and 4-H, they will realize why I am half crazy and talking to myself in the nursing home!!

Update...

After this evening ballgame adventure I have discovered more information about the up and coming girl band...the artist formally known as Sabrina is now Violet and her band mate Ashlyn will now be known as Sally...
oh dear this can not end well....

Dairy Diva?

See the precious blonde? Yeah, I am not anticipating that this one is gonna buy the farm from us in our old age....unless of course that is the "fashionable" thing to do ....
My darling Sabrina Grace has always been a bit ( ok all the way) girlie. Nothing short of being a fashion model for her....until now....
She has informed me this evening that she had a few of her closest friends (all 5-6) have decided to form a girl band.....The name of the band is "Hex-Girls" and each girl has a colored outfit (obviously). And the first cuts off their first CD include "I'll Throw Nails at You", "I'll Throw a Spell at You", and "The Shooting Star". Seeing that there seems to be a trend of violent action involved with the names of these songs...I am concerned....
Whoever said the the notion of send young boys and girls into religious life was outdated....has not listened to Sabrina talk.....I am all for it right now!

Rambles from the Mud Room

Has been a pretty busy week so will just throw some random thoughts out there:

  • Stacey M- You are my hero....I guess if we are welfare recipients...I feel like I am in excellent company with you. Glad that you are our Milk Champion!
  • Had a great fish fry last week....Tomato Girl, Missouri Market Fresh and Midwest Fisherman came to the ol' dairy farm...it was cold but the crappy was hot!
  • all three kids in ball....some nights I have kids in 3 different towns playing ball..yipes.
  • 2 more weeks of school....
  • Sunday is Momma Day ! Yeah!
  • Saturday is my wedding anniversary...lets give ole farmer Phil a shout out....thank god for patience.....
  • Einstein is right: "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Sick of pure ignorance
  • Ok now I must go to bed! Have a good weekend folks and dont folk get to call yo Momma!

WIC..Women, Infants and Crazy-Ass Senators...

So the saga of the Diary Tax Credit Bill has ended...A couple of Sentors have threatened to filibuster the bill so it is "set to calendar" indefinitely". We had so true champions ..Thank you Senator Clemmons ...
And what happened today...some certain Senators compared Dairy farmers to "welfare recipients"..well lets see....what is the #1 commodity on a WIC voucher...MILK...#2 ?? CHEESE... I think I would rather be some welfare recipient dairy farmer than some over-paid political puppet in Missouri. Guess when you have no other way of living...taking others way of life way is all ya got. Thanks for nothing.

Got Milk?...Get Rights!

This is a comment placed on my blog in regards to the dairy bill containing tax credits...I love it how my own Rep. Tom Loehrner makes the brilliant comment "Well, I only have 10 dairies left in my district anyway"...NO kidding genius ! What does that tell you EINSTEIN?? It is DYING! How many do you think are in COLE, BOONE, MILLER, WASHINGTON, COOPER....<1.....I love how government works..............

"Yesterday, the Senate Ag Committee voted HB 658 out of committee by a 6-0 vote. I was there along with several MDA producer members and friends.NOW ON TO THE SENATE FLOOR, maybe next week. The challenge remains anti tax credit Senators who might filibuster the bill. BUT we won't know that for sure until the bill is heard on the floor of the Senate! They are feeling the heat from you all.One office staffer complained of dairy producers calling from outside of "her district'..too bad! They shouldn't complain and they don't when they ignore agriculture on other issues. If you haven't called anyone--shame on you! This is your ONE AND ONLY CHANCE for help or to help dairy producers in Missouri! The Missouri Dairy Association has committed all of its limited resources to this issue on every dairyman's behalf, member or not.Keep the pressure on by calling all of the Senators in last week's legislative email or the mailed ORANGE alert. Emphasize this is good government to reallocate unused tax credits to where the need is now--THAT's DAIRY!!!We were also told the Governor would sign the bill by several legislators--on both sides of the isle. We have by partisan support! It's up to you. If not you, then who? If not now, then when??"
